How to set the IP address

Hi

In oder to use Modbus TCP via LAN-port I prefer to use a fix IP-address. Where can the address be definded?

  1. IP address via DHCP

  2. fix IP address

  3. How to set a fix IP address; possible only via POST-command?

Hi Peter,

I understand you need your whatwatt Go to be accessible via a fixed IP address. Even though you can do that in the whatwatt Go network configuration after you change the IP type from DHCP to Static, as shown below, we suggest sticking to DHCP and instead assigning a static IP in your DHCP server in your router. The exact steps depend on your router.

The screen below can be accessed from http://whatwatt-<6 last characters of your whatwatt ID>.local, then tap on “Wi-Fi / LAN” tile, then “Modify WiFi Settings”
